Ginew and house of land launches a new jacket

Our friends Erik and Amanda at Ginew of Portland, Oregon just launched a new jacket in their collection, The Shop Jacket. Made in cooperation with House of Land, a Austin based art/design studio. 

The Shop Jacket by Ginew & House of Land is a conceptual and design exploration with manufacturing in the USA. Our goal was to produce a sturdy, practical jacket that transforms to the wearer. From the natural cotton to custom-made d-rings, every detail was considered and built in the USA. It was a privilege having our jacket manufactured by a family-owned factory in Los Angeles. We hope you appreciate its quality and wear with pleasure.

Inspired by early car clubs, we designed a classic jacket with a modern fit. The Shop Jacket is made of 11.5 OZ RHT natural denim from Cone Mills – 11 Oz Olive Twill – and 12 Oz custom Nihon Menpu Denim. The jacket features front button closure & cuff, raglan sleeves, internal chest pocket, front side welt pockets, and custom-made brass d-ring sinches. Available on ginewusa.com and workbyland.com.

Ginew (Gih-noo) the only Native American-owned premium denim collection. Focussing on American-made materials, Ginew incorporates elements of their Native American heritage (Ojibwe, Oneida, & Mohican) to express a contemporary, Native voice through premium apparel and accessories. Ginew is Native-Americana, fusing Native American and enduring style.

House of Land is a newly formed venture by the art/design studio, LAND. The label offers garments inspired by utilitarianism and multi-ethnic modernism. Each piece combines quality details with time-honored artistry.
