“For a rich and gripping magazine with compelling storytelling, good typography, and photos that bring pages to life.”

The jury’s motivation naturally makes us feel exalted and proud. American Trails magazine is a quarterly publication about people and places in the United States. We try to find the wallflowers, the creative souls, the real people in the places that we travel to, so that they can tell us the history and stories from a local’s perspective — this is what inspires us. We drive cars, preferably on the back roads, through the forgotten small towns, popping in to the local bars to get the best tips on where to head next. We are wanderers out under the big wide open skies and untamed nature, speaking to farmers, wine makers, construction workers, artists, and completely normal average Americans.

American Trails is the magazine we have always been dreaming about making. It is uncompromising, never selling ourselves or the quality of the magazine short. The jury gave us 98 out of 100 points, which shows the level of dedication we have in our tone and inflections. Not to mention we have the pleasure of working with the best Swedish and international photographers, writers, and creatives.
