NYC has its share of really great beer bars. At American Trails we like beer, a lot. This is where we go right now, from Brooklyn to The Bronx, New Yorks finest beer bars.
KCBC (Kings County Brewers Collective), Bushwick, Brooklyn
Bushwick is the place to go if you´re looking for a really great brew pub (located inside a warehouse on trendy Troutman Street). KCBC (Kings County Brewers Collective) has an impressive list of freshly brewed beers, everything from saisons to stouts. Try the tasting tray and sample as many as possible!

As Is, Hells Kitchen, Manhattan
As Is, our new darling in Hells Kitchen does everything right. 20 beers on tap, as fresh and interesting as it gets (they rotate up to seven taps a day). Fantastic list of high class beers from Grimm, Hills Farmstead and others.

Hops Hill, Clinton Hill, Brooklyn
Looks more like a dive bar but appearances are deceptive. You can find Hill Farmstead, Wild Beer, Other Half and lots of other wonderful breweries on tap. Furthermore perfect Reubens, what more could you ask for?

Blind Tiger, West Village, Manhattan
Blind Tiger in West Village is a small simple pub with so many great beers that we always have to come back. Can be cramped some evenings, but early afternoons, it is just wonderful to slip in here – not least on chilly winter days when the fire is lit and the crew behind the bar have time to really help you explore the beers.

Spuyten Duyvil, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Spuyten Duyvil in Williamsburg is the place to look up if you`re in search of Belgian triples, quadruplaes, a saison or perhaps a Geuze from Flanders. The interior is cozy and soft and goes perfect with the beer menu.

Tørst, Greenpoint, Brooklyn
A completely contemporary feeling is the first impression, Tørst, just a short walk from the Spuyten Duyvil couldn´t be more different in ambience. Shiny taps where you can expect exciting beers from breweries like Prairie Artisan Ales, Tired Hands and of course Evil Twin (behind the initiative is the ghost Danish brewer Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø). The stout list is always world class making Tørst (come on, you can say it) a must stop. Do not miss the prized Michelin restaurant Luksus.

Proletariat, East Village, Manhattan
Proletariat in East Village does everything right. The slightly chaotic feeling in front of the long narrow bar makes you feel at home at once. Another reason is the beer list that beats most of the rest of the Manhattan beer oasis.

Arthur Avenue is not all about great food. Bronx Beer Hall, located inside the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, has an impressive lineup of local craft beer, and serves food from their neighbors on Arthur Avenue. Also some really interesting bottled beers.

Hellcat Annie´s Tap Room, Hells Kitchen, Manhattan
A bar with soul located in what was once the headquarters of the infamous “Westies” gang. If you want to be served by an experienced friendly bar staff and some nice craft beer this is the place to be. It’s also perfect if you for some reason have friends who do not like beer you’ll also have some tasty cocktails, wine on tap, and a delicious food menu.
